Bakbakan International...

I just joined a kenjutsu school last week. I'm planning to continue my study of Eskrima in Bakbakan International because my nation's martial art is cool for me, very effective in modern society and I don't want our future generations to forget the legacy of my ancestors. Also, I haven't used my Dunlop tennis bag for Eskrima.

The great thing about it is Bakbakan is an offshoot of Kalis Ilustrisimo because its founder- Master Christopher Ricketts is 1 of Tatang Ilustrisimo's senior students. Ma'am Peachie Baron Saguin also originated here before staying in the original Kalis Ilustrisimo where Grandmaster Tony Diego is the current head as she told me.

I think their headquarters is in Monsour del Rosario's gym (local actor and taekwondo champion) and the 1 who teaches Arnis there I think is actor, OMB (Optical Media Board) chairman and Master Topher Rickett's brother- Ronnie (since Master Topher already passed away in 2010):

Their schedules are: 6 PM - 7:30 PM, Tuesday and Thursday

I found their facebook page. I just need to earn money coz since most of the members are celebrities and the station of the headquarters is in The Fort in Bonifacio Global City, I bet it's a lot more expensive than the original Kalis Ilustrisimo in Luneta.

The great things about Bakbakan are: aside from having Kalis Ilustrisimo as its main teaching, it's not purely traditional and incorporated other FMA styles like Lameco and also Chinese Kung Fu.
